At first Dave and I had a little battle when trying to decide whether to get married in a church or to do a ceremony outside. We both came to the conclusion that getting married in a church was the right decision for us. With Dave being Catholic and myself being Presbyterian, we looked at about ten different churches ranging from Methodist to Episcopalian to Presbyterian. We finally decided on Peachtree Presbyterian after much consideration. The next debate was if we should get married in the smaller, quaint Kellet Chappel or the large, beautiful sanctuary. After attending a wedding in the main sanctuary this past July, our decision was made. I love the long isle of the main sanctuary and it is just too beautiful for words. It is perfect. Not only is this church a place that we have driven by every day, it is close to our reception site and it is Presbyterian!

Peachtree Presbyterian has 10,000 members and 8 Pasters! This will be the final debate. Which Paster do we choose? We are glad to know that Peachtree Presbyterian Church delights in hosting weddings and is eager to make our wedding one that will be remembered with great joy. They believe, as do we, that God created, ordered and blessed the convenant of marriage. They rejoice in Christian marriage, which is given by God, blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ, and sustained by the Holy Spirit. Marriage is a holy mystery in which a man and a woman are joined together, and become one, just as Christ is one with the church. We know our ceremony at Peachtree Presbyterian will be just the way we imagined it.
