It was Christmas day and we were headed for a fun-filled weekend in Tahoe. The weather was beautiful, the snow was extraordinary, and Dave had been exceptionally nice all day. I wondered if something was up, but I never thought he would actually propose that night! We finally arrived at the cabin and I was so excited to be around so much snow.
  We ate a lovely dinner with Dave’s family. After dinner we were all hanging out when Dave asked if I wanted to go for a walk. I said sure and excitedly went outside. Dave proceeded to tell me all of these wonderful things and I thought, man, what has gotten into him? We were gazing off the edge of the porch into the beautiful surroundings when he suddenly turned me around.
  He got down on one knee in the snow and opened a small box to expose the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. I asked him what he was doing and I kept saying “Is this for real?” “Does everyone know?” When I finally realized what was going on I asked him to do it all over again. I told him that I was so caught off guard that I missed the entire proposal. So, down on one knee he went again and we both started crying. Of course I said yes and we rushed inside to tell everyone the good news. Definitely the best Christmas present I have ever received.
